Molly Grunewald, Molly Grunewald & Co.
Molly Grunewald is a boudoir and couples photographer and returning client of ours at Alisabeth Designs.
Molly is one of the most sought after boudoir photographers in Detroit, and often booked out with boudoir clients. This comes as no surprise, because she’s an incredibly gifted creative with a heart to build community within her niche through education and relationships.
We designed her website back in 2018, so I was excited to work with her again.
To scale her booked out business even more, Molly had the idea for The Boudoir Bible – an offer for other boudoir photographers that could help grow her business without taking away from her primary work with her boudoir clients.
She had already created a waitlist to see if other photographers would be interested, and once she had an eager community of leads, she reached out to us to officially launch.
Only problem was… I’m not a copywriter! :p So I pulled in our copywriter Corrie Myers to help make this launch a success.
Corrie said “It doesn’t take long to fall for Molly’s breathtaking images and life-shouldn’t-be-too-serious personality, so I was excited for the chance to work with her!”
I couldn’t agree more.
Corrie and I were ready to make this a win for Molly. I knew her boudoir audience pretty well from building her website, but we wanted to understand her audience of boudoir photographers and the transformation they would experience through her course, too.
The Boudoir Bible teaches aspiring boudoir photographers the business and client-facing skills to niche down and grow their business, and was priced at $299 with an affordable payment plan – a perfect offer for Molly’s eager students.
Because Corrie brings 3 years of conversion copywriting and launch strategy for clients like Molly to the project, and I have 7 years of design experience in sales pages, conversions, and website strategy, we were ready to make sure this branch of Molly’s business would uniquely target her ideal client audience and build recognition, establish trust, and solve their problems – in turn driving demand for her course.
Corrie said “Putting together a custom brand and sales page has to include stellar copy and design to convert at the highest level, so I was excited this would be a collaborative effort.”
We talked with Molly about her first-hand experience with the boudoir community, and it was fantastic to hear how well she knew her audience’s struggles and needs.
Corrie went mining for gold in Molly’s free, private Facebook group for photographers and boudoir clients, pulled data from her recorded mentor sessions for boudoir photographers, and carefully included Molly’s raving testimonials for the copy.
I started brainstorming the layout of the sales page so we were all prepared to put the pieces together strategically.
With our core messaging and design direction in place Corrie got to work writing a sales page primed for conversion that spoke directly to the boudoir photographers’ needs and desires.
I took the copy and designed a gorgeous sales page that was totally Molly, simple, and easy to navigate.
From there, Molly was ready to tell her audience all about The Boudoir Bible, and kept them engaged on social media throughout the launch!
It was time to sit back and see the revenue roll in. Remember seeing who could hold their breath the longest underwater at the pool as a kid? It was just like that but… with a lot of hope and trust in our strategy!
Once Molly’s audience saw that the cart was open, they JUMPED at the chance to buy The Boudoir Bible and learn from her.
This resulted in an over 25% conversion rate in the first round of open cart, and a 20% conversion rate in the second round!
Corrie said “I knew it would be good, but THIS GOOD?! BONKERS!”
Given the short duration of the sales period, this calls for a standing ovation – I’m so proud of what we were able to create together!
In total, Molly generated 5-figures in revenue in just a few days without taking away from her primary work with her boudoir clients.
We were so excited to celebrate the success of her launch, and the greater success that she’s able to help even more women on their self-love journey through the shared vision behind boudoir with other photographers.
The Boudoir Bible adds another layer of income to Molly’s business while allowing her to still focus on her own boudoir clients. I call that a win-win!
Have you been working on a new offer and looking for results like this? We’d love to be part of your launch strategy. Reach out to either of us to see how we can help you bring your business to the next level.
